SANATORIUM TREATMENT
TO THE EDITOR OR THE ARGUS
Sir,-The result of sanatorium treatment of consumptive patients at the Greenvale Sanitorium at Broadmeadows furnished by Dr Norris to the Northcote Town Council, and reported in your issue to-day, must be received with great satisfaction by the public.
In order to complete the information for the period 1905 to 1908, I am appending the results achieved at the sanatoria at Macedon and Echuca during those years -Cured or relieved, 389 cases; incurable, 84; discharged at own request or on other grounds, 27; died, 19; remaining on June 30, 1908, 25; total, 544 cases.
From the above it will be seen that 71 per cent were cured or relieved-surely a good record – Yours W. R. CHURCH, Secretary. April 29.
