Shortage of Water. NURSES GO TO CITY FOR BATH 1927

MELBOURNE, Thursday. – Once a week the nurses from the Greenvale Sanatorium, it is reported come to the city for a bath.

They are unable to have one at the hospital, and take the opportunity of coming to the city to lave one every week.

The nurses are more fortunate than the patients.

The latter are unable to leave the sanatorium.

There are 😯 of them.

The trouble is that the institution has inadequate water supply, being dependent upon a dam and tanks, and carrying water costs £3 per day.

Birds and opossums are contaminating the water supply, and it is almost impossible to get a drink of pune water.

No wonder T.B. cases are complaining, and it is no wonder there is a shortage of nurses.
