Beard Benefit Fund 1914

The committee of the above are meeting every Thursday evening, the last meeting being held at Mr J. Cleal’s Royal George Hotel, Chapel street, Prabran, on Thursday even log last, Mr Patten presiding.

Favourable reports were to hand in regard to the sale of tickets, prices 2/- and 1/, and the concert, which takes place in the A.N.A. Hall. High street, Prahran, on Wednesday evening, July 8th, promises to be very successful.

The musical portion of the programme is being looked after by Mr Heales, who reports that the entertainment will be of a first-class character, and well worth seeing.

Donations have been and are being received from well known citizens, and a full list will be published in this paper later, Mr Beard is in the Greenvale Sanatorium not too well, and has a wife and seven young children, who are in need of practical assistance.

The next meeting is on Thursday evening next, 25th Inst, at 8 p.m, at which all friends are welcome.

Total amount received to date, £60. The ticket secretary is Mr Clack, 270 High street, Prahran.
