GENERAL HINTS.
CONCERTS AT GREENVALE.
“Well-wisher” (Prahran) writes, in reference to the proposal mentioned in these columns to give concerts at the Greenvale sanatorium. “It is pleasing,” he says, “to read that at last a move has been made in this direction. I trust it will meet with every success. I have been in the unfortunate position of being an inmate of the sanatorium, and I can assure you the time passed very slowly. I am casting no reflection on those in charge, but I do believe that by entertaining the inmates a little you will brighten their minds and help in the arrest of the dreadful complaint for which they are undergoing treatment. From my experience at Greenvale might I suggest to Miss Melian that Sunday is a bad day, because it is visiting day, unless she and her party propose to give their concerts after tea?”
