BUTTER and SOAP.
TENDERS will be received until eleven o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, 19th September, 1916, -from persons willing to SUPPLY BUTTER and SOAP in such quantities as may be ordered by the Victorian Government, delivery to be made at the undermentioned places, from 1st October, 1916, to 30th June, 1917: –
Melbourne district, deposit £8, security £80. For s.s. Lady Loch and Albert, Williamstown, deposit £1, security £5. Hospital for Insane, Ararat, Beechworth, Ballarat, and Sunbury, each deposit £4, security £40. Inebriates’ Retreat, Lara, and Sanatorium, Greenvale, each deposit £1, security £10. Mont Park Hospital for Insane, deposit £2, security, £20. Soap, Melbourne district, deposit £2, security £10.
Printed forms of tender, conditions of contract, stipulations of advertisement, and all particulars, may be obtained from the Secretary to the Tender Boards, Treasury, Melbourne; and for the respective districts from the Receivers and Paymasters at Ararat, Ballarat, Beechworth; for Sunbury, from the Medical Superintendent, Hospital for the Insane; for Lara, from the Superintendent of the Inebriates’ Retreat, and the Receiver and Paymaster at Geelong; for Greenvale, from the Superintendent at the Sanatorium; by whom also any information or explanation will be afforded to persons tendering.
Tenders must be accompanied by the preliminary deposit, as shown above, in bank notes, or a bank draft payable to the order of the Secretary to the Tender Board (cheques will in no case be received).
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
Tenders must be deposited in the tender-box at the Pay Office, Treasury, Melbourne.
