… From the Farm Sanatorium for Consumptives, forwarding reports re the formation of a farm sanatorium or farm colony for convalescent consumptives, also copy of report of conference on the subject. At a second meeting of the conference on 7th inst., the conference adopted the following addenda: – “The conference is of opinion that the whole cost of the establishment and maintenance of the farm and sanatorium should be borne by the Government. The recommendations of the councils on the subject would be considered at a future conference, with a view of the recommendations being placed before the State Government. – The secretary said Bulla was one of the contributing councils, and was included in the first schedule, and it was a peculiar thing that Keilor and Melton Shires were not. – Cr. Branigan said he heard the Greenvale Sanatorium was to be removed to Northcote.
